Couldn't get in on the radio so this is the next best way to express my love and appreciation for them many mornings her voice kick-started my day. Yes we will miss her, and we will long to hear her voice again, but know that she's in a better place; and to her family both personally and spiritually - "TRUST GOD and Accept what He Allows."

May God bless the family of Sonya. I remember going through a difficult time, and thought she had only spoken with me on the telephone, she ministered to my spirit and reminded me that God can handle anything. Now, that she is with Him, she will be missed, but she's in a far better place. Rest on Sonya!

Sonya, by reading the highlights of your past life, I know you was working hard for the Lord here on earth! And a marvelous job well done! :-) I just want to thank you for carrying me through new trials when I first moved to NC. Those long drives to work from Roxboro to Chapel Hill gave me plenty of time to spend with God, and you took me right there. You were one of the reasons that I chose the Gospel station over the others. You were more than an inspiration, you were an Angel. And now, you are home where Angels belong. I really thank God for letting us borrow you for this short period of time you were here on earth, and it was a time well spent! :-)

May condolences to the family & friends; and although she will truly be missed the most by you, she left many sweet memories, and countless blessings behind for you to be proud of!

Stay Blessed!

I bless the Lord for the life of Sonya Hamm and Gary Hamm. She has touched my life in such a special way. I was blessed to know Sonya via CCBWA where I was a winner of a scholarship to return to college. At the time I meet her, I was a mother of three girls coming out of a failed marriage. She encouraged us to press on while I returned to school. This year I will receive my degree in Accounting and Business Administration. My oldest daughter received full scholarship to play volleyball at Fayetteville State University last year. GOD is good! Although, the seed Sonya sowed in my life for encouragement to return back to college did not end there. As busy as she was, she always took time to correspond with me to encourage the girls, and me even when she went to Atlanta. My family and I will always remember Sonya Hamm. She is a phenomenal woman of GOD!

May God bless and strengthen her family during this time.

When I came to know Christ as my Saviour, there was 103.9 and Sonja Hamm no eggs or bacon in the morning. I went to Atlanta after Sonja went there to a NBPC mtg. & there was Sonja on the radio making me feel at home when I was 100s of miles from home. I'll always remember that feeling & I'll always remember Sonja Hamm. God Bless the Hamm family & the Radio One family.

I rememember Sonya, When Sent in my Name and Co-Worker to win a Breakfast from the Breakfest Club, I never will forget the moring she called me. I hadn't got to work yet and when I got there my co-worker told me that 103.9 had called and was trying to get in touch with me and for me to call the radio station and when I did Sonya answer and I told her who I was and she told me that I had won the Breakfast and that was the most exciting day of my life just to be able to meet her and Michael Reece. They came to the my work place and gave us the biggest Breakfast we had ever had. I still have the pictures and video that I made when she was there. I truly liked Sonya and she just brighten up my day when I would hear her on the Radio. I really hated to see her leave the light but better things came along and she had to follow her dreams, My prayer and thought go out to the Hamm family. Please just keep on looking up. God makes no Mistakes. Love you Sonya. Annette Cheek at UNC Mail Services in Chapel Hill, NC

What can you say about the "Breakfast Club" radio personality. Sonya was a beautiful young lady. I raised my youngest daughter on her morning show. I knew it was time for daughter to get up when I heard the words, Good Morning and welcome to the "Breakfast Club" with Sonya Hamm. I never did get the grits, but she sure gave us the meat for that day. Sonya was such a blessing to the body of Christ and will be greatly missed by all her fans. My prayers are with the Hamm and Brown family.

My short years in knowing her before she moved to ATL from Raleigh, NC I will treasure. Let her go for now, and so she can be a blessing to the Angels in Heaven. Talk about a "Holy Ghost Party" up there! We all know Sonya is a lead Gospel Player, the best Inspirational DJ ever, and she is helping God run things in heaven!

Prayers and condolences to the Hamm family, as well as the Light 103.9 family. Sonya was my neighbor for many years prior to her moving to Atlanta. I just remember her smiling and waving hello as I past her house. I also had the chance to go on a trip she sponsored to Atlanta, GA for "Woman Thou Art Loose". We all enjoyed her vibrate personality and upbeat spirit on the bus, as she had us singing and praising God. She will be missed.

I remember Sonya Hamm in the morning, no tomatoes, no lettuce was the saying. Everyone had a special saying for their names and I loved it. She was a beautiful person and yes, truely missed by us all. But we know that God has her now and she's in good hands. You never get over them, you just continue to love their memory. God's blessings to the family of Mrs. Sonya Hamm.

To the Hamm family,my thought and prayers are with you she will be greatly missed.I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Sonya at Fred Anderson's Toyota on the day that I Kicked It In To Overdrive and purchased a brand new 2004 Toyota Sequoia.I was excited of course because I had a new ride but even more excited because I got to meet her that day.I talked with Sonya she introduced me to her husband.I told her my name was also Sonja.I also purchased her book and she wrote a wonderful comment inside it to me that I will cherish. She told me she had gotten a promotion and was headed for Ga. she seemed excited.I was sorry that I would not hear her on 103.9 the Light anymore because she inspired me every morning on my commute to work as a nurse but happy that she had gotten a promotion. She did her job well and deserved what she worked hard for.To all of the family and Mr. Hamm may God continue to Bless each of you.Thank God for the precious memories. She will be greatly missed by many fans.

My condolences go out to the Hamm family and Light Family for the passing of a true soldier of God, Sonya Hamm. When I heard of the passing of an awesome inspirational woman of God, my heart began hurting because I remember the mornings I would listen to her inspiring and touching voice on the Breakfast Club and pondering on how beautiful she was and how much I missed her when she left and moved to Atlanta. Sonya is the reason I began listening to the 103.9 The Light. She not only put God's touch on everything but she made it fun and entertaining. Sonya will be truly, truly missed and I will continue to honor her spirit. I can't wait to see you sister Sonya, our heavenly angel.

Prayerfully yours.

I HAVE VERY FOND MEMORIES OF SONYA HAMM, AND THE MOST FONDEST MEMORY OF HER IS WHEN SHE TOOK HER VACATION/WENT TO CALIFORINIA AND WAS ON THE PRICE IS RIGHT. SHE PRAYED TO GET TO CONTESTANT ROW AND SHE MADE IT THERE TO CONTESTANT ROW, BUT DID NOT MAKE IT UP ON STAGE TO WIN A PRIZE AND SHE CAME BACK TO WORK AT THE LIGHT AND WAS TALKING ABOUT THAT AND HOW SHE PRAYED TO MAKE IT TO CONTESTANT ROW AND HER HUSBAND ASKED HER IF SHE PRAYED TO MAKE IT UP ON STAGE AND WIN A PRIZE AND HER ANSWER WAS NO... I LEARNT FROM HER TO ALWAYS PRAY FOR EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT AND HAVE THE FAITH WHICH HAS HELPED ME TO GET TO WHERE I AM TODAY...

TO HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS SHE HAS BEEN A BLESSING AND TOUCHED MY LIFE AND WILL BE TRUELY MISSED. SHE WAS THE LIGHT OF 103.9 IN THE MORNING.
